The Ranger Experience

The training for rangers involves a lot of physical exercises to build endurance as well as to improve self discipline. Our programme will seek to take you through some extremely demanding and punishing schedules involving a lot of physical exercises such as marathon running, trekking involving map reading and navigation, rock climbing, mountain climbing as well as solo nights in the park.

Participants will also get to learn about the wildlife in Kenya especially their behaviour as well as how best to handle the animals in the wild. Learn about dangerous animals and how to handle them in the event of an encounter in the bush.

Bushcraft skills such as using firewood fuel as well as building traditional African huts using locally available products as well as lighting fires without matchboxes are all incorporated to ensure a thoroughly rewarding experience.

Our ornithologist will be on hand to give field bird watching training with practical lessons and examination. Our naturalist will take the participants through the nature walks interpreting natural phenomena in a way that is both useful and beneficial to the guests.

This programme is a team exercise run by qualified personnel and experts in this area and is an opportunity to challenge yourself. It is perfect for student groups and organised parties of at least 10 persons in a party.
